Ellen Page

Ellen Page, a Canadian actress, started her career in television before moving to movies. The actress found fame playing the role of Juno McGuff alongside Michael Cera in the movie Juno. She was born on February 21, 1987 and her given name is Ellen Philpotts-Page.

Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Page went to Halifax Grammar School until the 10th grade. Her father Dennis is a graphic designer and her mother Martha Philpotts is a teacher. Page ended up graduating from the Shambhala School in 2005. During two years spent living in Toronto, she studied at Vaughan Road Academy.

The actress landed a role in the made-for-TV movie Pit Pony at the age of 10. Page would then move on to small parts in Canadian movies and TV series. She appeared in season two of Trailer Park Boys.

Her role in Juno earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, but lost to Marion Cotillard for her performance in La Vie en Rose. Page's Juno performance won her more than 20 awards. Ellen Page played the role of Ariadne in the blockbuster 2010 film Inception. The performance earned her an MTV movie award. She has appeared in over 20 motion pictures including two X-Men films, Whip It and the Woody Allen directed ensemble comedy To Rome With Love.

Page is a vegan and was awarded one of the Sexiest Vegetarians of 2014. In the same year, Ellen Page announced she is gay. FHM named her 86th on the Sexiest Women in the World list in 2008. Page received a Spike TV Best Voice Actress nomination for her role in the video game Beyond: Two Souls. She enjoyed climbing and playing with action figures before shooting to fame. She is 5-feet-1-inch tall and answers to the nickname ‘The Tiny Canadian.'
