Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975, in Culver City, California into one of the most famous acting families of all time. Her mother, Jaid Barrymore, was an actress and her father, John Drew Barrymore, came from a long show business legacy as the son of John Barrymore and Dolores Costello. Drew shot to fame in her own right at the age of 6 in Steven Spielberg's classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, but had a troubled childhood and adolescence marred by drug and alcohol abuse and punctuated by two stints in rehab. She penned the autobiography Little Girl Lost in 1990 before taking the racy lead role in Poison Ivy, marking her transition from child star to adult actress. Her wild ways continued in 1995, when she posed for Playboy magazine at the age of 19 and flashed David Letterman during her infamous appearance on The Late Show. In 1997, she and a business partner formed Flower Films, which produced the teen comedy Never Been Kissed and led to several other romantic comedy roles for Barrymore. She has made audiences laugh alongside Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates and proved she can handle action roles by fronting the Charlie's Angels franchise. Cult classics like Donnie Darko round out her acting resume and prove she has a range deserving of her family name.
In addition to her acting work, Drew is an Ambassador Against Hunger for the UN World Food Programme, a model for CoverGirl and the face of a line of jewelry for Gucci. In 2010 she won both a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Little Edie in Grey Gardens. Drew's first marriage to bar owner Jeremey Thomas in 1994 lasted only two months. She married comedian Tom Green in 2001, but the couple divorced in 2002. After other high-profile romances, Drew married art consultant Will Kopelman in 2012. The couple has two daughters, Olive and Frankie.
